In-depth Review of the Fluke 15B+

Upon removing the Fluke 15B+ from its box, you may be surprised by how big it is. This full-sized multimeter is long, but it isn’t too wide or bulky to comfortably fit in one hand, ensuring that it’s easy to work with.

The controls for the Fluke 15B+ are all laid out logically on the front panel, and a simple dial is used to toggle through the various reading modes. The hold, range, and power buttons are all laid out at the top of the control panel and are always within reach. Finally, the backlight can be toggled with a small button on the left.

The Fluke 15B+ is one of the most accurate multimeters in its price range, and it’s an excellent choice for hobbyists and amateurs alike. While this multimeter may not be quite as impressive as certain professional models, it’s admittedly more accurate than we’d expect at its price range.

We were also impressed by the large display on this multimeter, making it much easier to see your readings and data when compared to the competition. This multimeter also comes with a well-made holster into which it fits snugly, a nice touch for a budget product.

Fluke 15B+ vs 17B+

At first glance, the Fluke 15B+ and the Fluke 17B+ may look identical, but upon closer inspection, the control panel on the 17B+ has a few extra buttons added to it. When it comes to measuring voltage, amperage, and resistance, the 15B+ and the 17B+ are identical, down to the accuracy ratings.

The main difference between these two models is that the 17B+ can also take frequency and temperature readings. Since it needs the sensors for these two readings, the 17B+ is a little more expensive than the 15B+, but the added functionality can be useful if you find yourself needing the extra measurements.
