Subject - The best client ever . . .
John A. Peters He is a repeat client and he knew my company and how it works. He asked for a bid, and after I took my notes about what he wanted done he paid a $40.00 retainer. When the proposal was ready, he came over to my basement office in the sun room and crossed off a couple of line items, signed the contract, paid a 10% deposit and left. He did not bother to wait for the revised, lower priced paper work to be done. He flew back to Hawaii where he lives in a part of Hawaii between Diamond Head and the mountains, where the area reminds him of Berkeley, CA. I know he will appreciate our work and he will pay. He is selling the house.
Speedwire1 A story like that tells me much more about you and your reputation, than it does about him! Congrats to you!
Romex Racer Of course JAP runs a tight ship, but all repeat customers are like that, once you've done 2 or 3 jobs for someone, you earn their confidence. Most of my customers are like this. I've got one guy who owns a factory, there's no contracts, he asks for some machine wiring or lighting, we do it, present an invoice, paid on the spot.

The hacks and lowballers never work for the same customer twice, with professional Electrical Contractors, many customers are repeats. It's a different class of clientel.

kbsparky We have several customers who don't even ask for a price anymore. They just FAX us their work order, and expect the job to be scheduled and completed within a reasonable amount of time.

And, to top it all off, once the job is compelted, we email them their invoice, and get paid right away as well.

No excessive paperwork, and everybody is happy

That is the type of customer we like to work with.
