Subject - Farm_Demands
nm4l I recently had a NEC question that I'm not sure of - What is the total demand load in amperage on three farm buildings with 18KW, 14KW, and 12KW for single phase 120/240 volts? can anyone help? Ron.
lctrc789 nm41, I don;t know exactly what you have, or the voltage on these.
But you have a total of 56 kw at 120 volts you have 46.6 amps and at 240 you have a total of 23.3 amps.
really need to know more info but this is you total in amperage at these figures.

Thanks Pat, I don't remember the exact words, but the voltage is the same as for a single phase dwelling, only the demand is for farm. Although I have learned to solved demands in standard and optional methods for dwellings, never had to for farms yet. Ron
wareagle Are these actual measured loads or caculated loads? 220.40 is the section you need.
nm4l Hi Bob, they are caculated loads, Wife just called to inform me that my test results for Masters that I took last week just arrived and I got 55 correct out of 80 questions, needed 56 correct answers to pass - that was close but no good. Ron.
lctrc789 Ron, don't get to upset many folks have taken the masters and not passed on the first try.
Hang in there it is no big deal. Give it time study some more and re take it you will get there.
Good luck
