Subject - Plastic Allied Boxes
Mike Delaney Does anyone else out there use the plastic Allied resedential boxes?
There great for box fill,

Plastic Two gang 43.5 CU $.77 Fiber Glass 32.5 CU $1.24
Plastic Three Gang 60.0 CU $1.24 Fiber Glass 46.0 CU $1.74

They don't break as much a fiber glass, and it makes installing dimmers, and timmers a snap. The only thing I've found bad about them, there plastic and some times tweak, making it hard to get the plate straight (doesn't happen to often), and the other thing is they almost take of a full stud depth, so when the insulators spray there expansive foam behind the box, it will make the box stick out of the wall....but only on exterior walls, and to correct this problam, run a sheet rock screw through the back of the box, preventing it to move forward.
side-cut1 Mike my company does use the plastic boxes, and yes they do tweak somewhat. I especially like the single gang because of the 22.5 c.u. Instead of drywall screw another method I use is a madison hanger to help pull the box back in to the wall. This works pretty good also.
