Subject - mixing conductors
Scott Can anyone find a code that will not allow an engineer to design a system, that will bring circuits from 2 lighting panels into 4000 wiremold. I see great harm in doing this but can't find a code to stop the work.
Ryan_J What harm do you see? But to answer your question, no there is no code that prohibits the practice.
smokumchevy Are you sure Ryan? He's sourcing from two separate lighting panels and although my code is from the CEC I'm sure yours covers this area as well?? I may be wrong but is how I interpret it.

CEC 12-904(2): No raceway or compartment of a multiple-channel raceway shall contain conductors that are connected to different power or distribution transformers or other different sources of voltage.

Ryan_J I don't beleive there is any such animal in the NEC. I know for a fact that you can have different voltage systems, different sources, etcetera in the same raceway, and I see no prohibitation in article 300 or in the surface raceway article.
