I talked to a guy who gives the tests in lower merion and he told me they don't give the journeyman's test anymore. Phila. doesn't either so I have to take the masters exam (2002 edition before April and 2005 after that). I'm curious about the difficulty level of the exam and looking for any study tips or suggestions. Has anyone taken this test in pa and do you reccommend any books--Tom Henry or Mike Holt?

| Are you inquiering about the union test? Pa does not have a state wide exam as of yet. I have a masters licence from a bourogh in Pa so I can work anywhere except where the unions dont allow me to. The test I took had very little code in it, mostly calculations. Check out the NFPA web site they have some great books that could help. Good luck with your test, let us know how you make out.
