AT my work place we will run wiring to j box in celling, and then us an so cord to drop out of jbox down to equipment. We do this almost every where do to the fact most equipment moves a lot. Know from what I read this would be tempory wiring unless we use cord and plug connectition on both ends. Am I reading this correctly?

| Yes, you also have to consider if you are allowed to use temporary wiring for this.
Is is it a construction site?
Is it a holiday display?
Is it a an emergency?
Is it a Test?
If not, you are may not use temporary wiring.
