I have a basement that I am going to need a subpanel in with three 15 amp circuits, one twenty amp circuit and one 30 amp circuit..what size breaker will I have to run out of the main panel to satisfy that load demand and what guage wire would work for that?

| not sure if it is important, but it is one lighting circuit, a family room circuit, a bedroom circuit, a bathroom cicuit, and a heat pump

| Without knowing the exact load, I would feel safe running a 60 amp cable to it and breaker size of 60 amp. You may be able to get by on less but this will cover it for sure. Jim

| If you are running a tail panel (sub panel) from an existing panel, YES 6-3 w gr will work. Remember this is tail panel and the grounds and nuetrals will have to be separated at the tail panel. If you run a 60 amp you will have room for some future use should you need it. Good luck
