I'm not a electrician but would like to be. I'm not sure how to get started. I checked out a school that I've seen on tv but, I'm not sure what to ask or if thats the way to go. If any one can tell me how they got started and point me in the right direction. I've done some electrical work at home and, was working in hvac for a while so when we id side jobs I helped with the electrical and took a liking to it. Any help would be apreciated.

| Find an electrical contractor in your area that is looking for electrical helpers. There you will find the mentoring and information you need. You will immediately begin getting on the job training. They will also help you find local training programs. You'll also be getting a check. This site will be adding tutorials so be sure and check back. Welcome to the world of electricity.

| WHY ,yes check out the union they have an exellent apprenticeship program that is free, all you have to do is buy your books and pass the tests in school.I went through the 5 year apprenticeship on the job trainning and you can't beat the free education.I now make good money to feed my family and even thinking about going into business for myself.good luck whatever you do.
