Subject - Shaded pole motor
rmansfield Can you reverse the direction of rotation on a shaded pole motor by reversing the leads?
JimmyDee No you can't. You can if it will remount, pull the rotor out of the stator winding and turn the stator 180 degrees in relation to the rotor. The shade pole has to be orientated to the opposite side to get the rotation to reverse.

rmansfield Sounds too complicated. Since the application is a fan on a dehumidifier I can reverse the fan blade easier.
