| When you say pulsating electric. Do you mean it's making a sizzling noise?

| Do you mean when you wiggle the switch, or does it go off and on by itself? Explain your problem in more detail please and we will try to help.

| what i suggest that the outlet to be replace and make sure it is not backstabbed wire hook up. it mean the 14 ga wire slide in the tity hole and hold the wire in place. just replace it and make sure you follow the same wire color for same screws brass screw for hot wires , silver screw for netural wire useally white wire and green screw for bare copper wire.
that useally slove the troble right there., but if your outlet is switch controled becarefull where you get the wire hook up and break the tab as need on brass screw side leave the silver screw tab alone.
if need more question let us know

| I'm curious was the light that was pulsating a predictable sequence or sporadically blinking? We can't really tell what is going on without seeing and testing the circuit. The pulsing is cause for alarm because it could be something arcing making this a fire hazard. I think its for the best that you get an electrician over there and get that fixed.

| Ron:
when you replaced the switch did you pay attetion to the connetions ?? some case they have switch loop there and i will suggest that look at the switch box and outlet box and look at the wires and where it go and come back and post it here. if still cant figure it out,, i will try to find some image about the switch loop and outlet arrangements to see how you come up with it.
