Old EKR Archives: Subject - Why would you want to contribute an image?

If you put your images here I'll have to pay for the bandwith instead of you and you still get the link. You still own the image.
Second Reason: When someone uses your image they are required to follow your rules. A good rule is a link to your site. I don't think I have to explain why this is beneficial to your site, but I will just in case. Traffic, higher search ranking and because of improved search ranking more traffic! I really want people who are searching to find your tailor-made information to get to it and this is a great way to make that happen.
Third Reason:
You set the rules for using your images.


John A. Peters I want to publish a photograph here but it seems to only take a link to a web page that would have a photo already hosted somewhere else. How I get started with this?
jwhite John, you need to have web space. I dont know where you can get that for free.

I could host it for you for a while if you want to email it to me.
jwhite acutally john you could just upload it to your companies web site and link to that.
It wont show up on your web page if there is no link to the photo on any of your web pages.
