Subject - Quadraplex
cato What size Quadraplex is needed for a 120/208 3Ph 600A commercial service?
Ryan_J You'll probably want to go with parallel. I can't answer your question because I need to know the computed load. 230.42.
JimmyDee Looks like paralled aluminum 250 kcmil would be big enough but I know like Ryan_J stated it would depend on computed load. Power company would probably run a #2 or #1 and call it good.

iwire Is this a NEC installation or a NESC installation (Utility Code)?

The utility's have good reasons for the size wires they choose.

Generally 50% of what the NEC would require, this is not simple because they are being cheap.

By the way I hope you have the right equipment to pull the sag out of 250 AL quadraplex.
