Subject - Outside outlets and switches
Jones I want to install a switch and outlet by my new jacuzzi at my house in order to install some lights. I have the Spa box 240 volt disconnect that has a GFCI that protects the 50 amp and the 15 amp breakers. I was reading that if the 15 amp circuit is potected by a GFCI I can install the switch no closer than 5' from the inside of the spa walls. I was told that the switch and outlet can not be any closer than 10'. I want to install everything around 6' from the spa. Thanks B
David Hyatt Off the top of my head, 6' will be acceptable to NEC as long as it is GFCI protected.
Jones Thanks B
