why would my hot tub suddenly turn off or lose power? (breakers are not tripped and have been reset numorous times.) |
| Electricmanscott | What do you mean "Hot Tub"? Bathroom whirlpool type or outdoor multiperson type? Possibly GFCI tripped somewhere. Motor died. Disconnect shut off. Could be any number of things. |
| AlberKSpartan | it is a hot tub outside. the gfci dissconnect outside is not tripped and neither is the breaker in the box. if the motor would have died it would still have power though right? because is not getting any power at all. |
| David Hyatt | Did you test the power at breaker with voltage tester? Maybe you have a bad breaker? |
| AlberKSpartan | no i have not yet. i thought about that but i was just in a bad car accident and it was smashed so i have to get a new one. |
| David Hyatt | Check that and let us know. We can go from there. Try turning the breaker off then back on. |
| AlberKSpartan | ok i turned the dp 50A breaker in the box off then back on and the gfci dissconnect outside off and on and nothing. |
| m.weed | Does anything work. The lights or blower? Does it have electronic controls. the circuit board might be shorted or burned out. Check resets on the board . Check trouble shooting guide in your manual. Get a new meter for yourself. A must. Mike |

| AlberKSpartan | Yep no go. I'm ok my neck, back,and head are still in alot of pain and its really hard to move. My car is trashed I'll tell you the story tomorrow. But we're living. (my girlfriend and I) I was in the hospital for 10 hours thursday. Thats why I wasnt in class friday. So I see you are a moderator, now thats cool. |
