Subject - Basement outlet problems!
Ben_Jolted Can I use the existing wiring inside of a light socket and turn it into an outlet? If so, what are the steps I need to take.
David Hyatt Ben, is this not covered in your previous question?

JimmyDee I think, if reading directly as to if a light socket can be changed to a receptacle, the answer is yes. They make a round cover with a duplex receptacle mounted right on the cover. This would be an easy change but make sure you wouldn't be eliminating a light that is necessary for the room.
