Subject - Concrete Planking
kellybarrs I am starting a school that will have concrete planking with a concrete topping on the second and third floor. We try to get everything in the slab to try to keep labor and material costs down, especially in a school. Is there a way or a trick to getting conduit/boxes in a concrete plank slab? Any help would be appreciated.
blackrd I believe in thr American electricians handbook( sold by the nfpa) ther is a section dedicated to cellular concrete floors. The book is about $90. They were showing a coring bit and some special insertion apparatus being used. I would say, unless anybody else knows more, you might go to a larger supply house and talk with them about whats available.
kellybarrs Thanks. I have the American Electricican's Handbook. I didn't even think about looking in it.
