According to the ESI model, Patrick Kennedy and a couple of books that I have read, all describe the concept that in order to advance from a contractor who has created himself a job up to the level of a company that has value to outside investors, you must document and standardize all your operations in an operations manual. One of the books used McDonald's as an example where every meat paddy is the same weight, the same diameter and cooked for the same length of time all governed by detailed written instructions.
I'm looking to sfor anyone else who has started on this project, who would be willing to co-author or exchange information with the rest of us. I have an employee manual but I never really detailed all the duties of my office manager and there are a lot of duties that she handles and so I'm looking for any help from the rest of you out there.
