Subject - Are we still in Iraq?
Romex Racer Before Terri Shivo and the Pope were in the news, all we heard about was the war in Iraq. Daily car bombings, explosions, beheadings, assasinations, etc. But have you noticed that the last 2 weeks or so have been completely devoid of Iraq news?

It's almost as if somebody told the news agencies to stop reporting about Iraq. I'm not a conspiracy buff, but what gives? Not a peep from Iraq in 2 weeks?

Signed,

Puzzled in California.
Scott Vickrey The news agencies consider themselves watch dog organizations. These self appointed few use their conciderable powers in an attempt to bring everyones views in line with their own. When things where bad in Iraq they couldn't wait to report it over and over adnausium. Now that we are starting to see some very positive results in Iraq the news agencies have decided all we wanted to know about was Terr Shiavo. I think the news agencies are the biggest conspiritors of them all. I can barely watch the news anymore it's just so negative.
I forget what author wrote it but they said "You can instantly increase the quality of your life by at least 10% by not following the news."
Romex Racer Positive results in Iraq? Hot damn! Seems I'm always the last to know.

I still have no idea why we're in Iraq, a totally trumped up war. I'm a U.S. Army Infantry (3rd ACR) veteran (11 Bravo, which is a basic grunt), so I'm all for military force, but Iraq? I'm an old school, John Wayne, republican, conservative red neck, but Iraq? Why?

I know who we should attack: Canada.

That's right, Canada. Have you ever been to Canada? It's a totally beautiful country! The beautiful landscapes, heck, even the women are beautiful! Now there's a country worth attacking! Canada is a very nice country, not dirty and dusty like Iraq. Canada has a rich history and culture, and the people are civilized, not like Iraq!

We could swoop in and take Canada without firing a shot. Make it the 51st state. Annexing Canada is a mission that makes sense!

If you're still not behind me in my desire to attack Canada, let me remind you that William Shatner (CApt. Kirk) is Canadian! That alone should be reason enough!

Whoop! Whoop!

I'd submit to you that you are listening/watching/reading the wrong news outlets. Try FOX News, or listening to "EIB" while you are working. Even Boortz can be good reading every now and then.
Wirenutz There is only the $$$ party left now in America, you choice of voting is merely a choice of the popular contestant this class & thier agenda

(Both Bush & Kerry were Skull & Bones folks)

Clearchannel , the Carlyles, and the PNAC's not only control the media here, your tax dollars are being used for news with thier political bent, and everything else is merely infotainment

These are called VNR's

Scott Vickrey Speaking of Red Green,
I love the mans prayer they say at the lodge meeting:
"I'm man but, I can change, if I have too,,I guess."
Afterhrs Romex Racer....annex Canada for Captain Kirk? What about Red Green?
Any guy that makes a boat out of two liter bottles and duct tape and then has the GUTs to get on T.V. to brag about it should be reason to enough to annex Canada.

Jerry
Afterhrs Scott,
I also like this one:

The three words men can't say "I don't know."

I can obviously type it, but saying it out loud......Thats a Tuffy!

Jerry
