I have been an electrician for at least 20 years and am pretty proficient in code . as I get a little older Ive been thinking about looking into becoming an inspector. What are the credentials that are needed to become an inspector and what types of preparation are necessary for the same.specifically in phila.

| I have no idea about Philidelphia, but here in Utah the biggest issue is whether or not you are certified as an inspector in the NEC. Go to www.iccsafe.org and click on certifications, that will get you started.
You might also want to talk about the division in your area that governs licensing, and see what their requirements are.
