	Subject - Building next to phase 1 pole shortya What does the NEC code say the distance is supose to be on building a garage or shed from phase 1 utility pole? I can't find the code in my NEC code book. lctrc789 I do not know that the code specifies how close a pole can be set to a building, only the heights and clearances overhead... I have seen utility comapnies go very close to garages etc, in allies and easemants.... stedder May be something in the utilities' guidelines would set the distancees. lucky1122 absolutely not an nec issue as described as long as codes governing clearances are observed
