Subject - adding breaker and outlets

I want to add another breaker to the main, and add a couple receptacles in my basement. Do I really really need an electrician to do this, or can I do it? thanks.

| I would say, just by your asking the question, you may need an electrician to at least supervise the installation. Remember, any time you get into the panel, you have the ability to get into totally unfused, unprotected wiring that if you were to do something wrong, there could be some really bad meltdowns. If you have done this type of work and know the safety precautions, by all means go for it. If not, it could be the last project you do.

| I agree with Jimmy, this is not a hard project but can sill be very dangerous, may need to contact an electrician. Be safe.
