Subject - 3Way Switch with indicator
MrG I have a 3 way light switch in my house that controls a light in the basement. I would like to know if there is a 3 way switch with an indicator light to let you know if the lights in the basement are on or not. I have visted HD and Lowes and they have nothing like this. Does such a switch exist?

Thanks for you help in advance!
kringles Don't know if this is what you are looking for;

Leviton
Catalog Number: 1463-LHC UPC# 07847782794
15 Amp, 120 Volt, Toggle Lighted Handle - Illuminated OFF 3-Way AC Quiet Switch, Residential Grade, Grounding, Quickwire Push-In & Side Wired, - Clear

Have seen these (Leviton) in both Home Depot and Lowes. I am sure a local electrical supply can also provide these or the equivalent in another brand if preferred. If the light is off the switch handle indicator lites on both of the 3-ways will be lit(ON). If the light is on the switch handle indicator lites on both switches will be OFF.
kbsparky You want what is referred to as a "pilot-light" indicating switch. This switch, illuminates "on" while the light is on. A "lighted toggle" switch is lit while the load is "off"

Hubble or Leviton cat #1203-PLR would be one such switch. However, you will need a neutral connection as well as have the common terminal feed the load from that location for it to work properly. You may have to rewire the switch loop to accomplish this.

MrG The pilot-light switch is exactally what I'm looking for. I will check on how that light is wired.

Thank you very much for your help.
rabbitgun I have pilot light threeways in my own home and they are on all of the time.......But, I have never seen one that was lit only under load. I think you would need to have separate terminals for the switch leg on each switch.........
