Subject - track lighting

any body have any ideas on this today i started putting up track lighting in this store and trying to get a 1/2 greenfield connector through a piece of ceiling tile in to the live ends on the track and its the tile that hangs down below the grid about 1/4 of a inch. the drawings called for # 10 stranded thats why we went with the 1/2 flex all of the track is low voltage. thanks

| What I would do is attach a 1/2" rigid coupling to the terminatation fitting of the track light then you could drill a nice round 1" hole in the tile. Even get fancy and paint the coupling the same as the track.

| Oops I forgot attach the coupling with a 1/2" chase nipple.

| The 1/2 " tile hanging down below the grid does pose a problem and to compensate I would mark the grid ate each hole ( mounting hole). Drill the grid at each hole. Mount the track with 1/8 " toggle bolts or 1/8 " toggles with nuts (for adjustment). Mount each light (watch for mounting bolts).This should look great for the floor. No one will notice your mounting, they will be impressed the lights.
