Subject - Refrigerator
relbas I was wiring a walk-in box ligth fixture with remote switch and I saw a note that says "Equipment must be conected to GFCI cuircuit by NEC".
I could not locate nothing in NEC about REF equipment.
JimmyDee Don't think there is and it is a great way to have all your food spoil when it trips.

lctrc789 Relbas, are you sure they were not refering to the lighting circuit in this walk in .....
I wouldn't want the freezer or fridge on one for sure lol
relbas Yes it a ligthing cuircuit with the door heater But why it is need to be on Gfci?
Ryan_J Its not required unless it is cord and plug connected and falls under 210.8(B)(3)
lctrc789 Could be a local code or the manufactures suggestion...
Perhaps some one was shocked by the door heater unit or a light, never know.
