How do you guys manage your material database? Do you keep a seperate database for each supplier and do a takeoff for each one? I thought about using 1 database with the average cost but that seems like it would be much harder to recognize an increase in costs

| My theory is that materials are relatively small part of the job, at least in my case, so I just make sure that my database includes a price that is equal or slightly higher than one actually pay and not worry about it. Of course big-ticket items have to be checked. It might even shop for the best price if you're doing a 600 and something or other
