	Subject - wiring colors with the letter PE dogood Been out of the wiring for sometime. started to wire a welder for a friend and it had 3 wires green yellow and green with Pe stamped on it and then a brown. what does the PE stand for? kbsparky Sounds like an imported unit to me Romex Racer Pe stands for "Protective Earth" and is another way of indicating Ground. dogood Thanks I thought it had something to do with ground .but wanted to be sure.
