David Hyatt Can a ground be spliced with a split bolt or other means or does it have to be continuous without splice? Code Ref please?
Ryan_J Equipment ground: Sure
Grounding electrode conductor: No. 250.64
David Hyatt Yea, thanks Ryan I thought that to be true.
lctrc789 They can be cadwelded or you can use ireversible type connectors.
Not a good practice but it is done in a lot of industrial applications where they are moved or the building is being set up for new steel.
Same code reference as well, David
