Scott Vickrey Never so glad to see anyone return to the site! Hope you are rejuvenated and feeling great. So Jimmy is it titanium? Did your insurance cover you as you hoped? are you the new 6 million dollar man? Glad it went good jimmy you have been an awesome asset to us all and this site EK and it members are forever in debt to your undieing dedication to helping your fellow electricians here. Even though you enjoy it If we only had more of you.
Thanks a million Jimmy,
Scott Vickrey

JimmyDee So far they have covered 100% for which I'm very thankful. I'm back about 5% physically and maybe 20% on the mental side. This surgery produces a lot of pain but, so far, seems to be doable.
Right now, I'm limited as to how long I can sit at the computer. Seems like after 10 min or so, its time to do something else.
Jim
lctrc789 Jimmy, Glad you are back and doing well. You May have to return the favor of praying to the man upstairs for me I was told when I was 25 that I would need a total knee replacement or a lot of serious surgery by the time i was was 40 so far I have made it to about 49 and still doing fine. Lots of therapy and excersise and stretching and being very careful.
Good luck to you and speedy recovery. GOD SPEED TO YOU ON THIS.
kbsparky Jimmy, glad to see you around again. Hope your recovery is continuing as expected or better.

Did they install a grease fitting in there, so you can keep the lube current?

eleccon I'm sorry I just read about the surgery, A neighbor across the street just had that done and it has been two to three weeks, he is now on a walking stick and looking better plus I have a friend who has had that done about two years ago. He was a hockey player and he just loves his new knee. I hope you do too.
Alfred Jimmy
Even though I don't know you, I wish you many years of good health and happiness. I hope your days of agony will be short. I also hope that God will spare you the pain. May you have many more years of success.
God speed
Thanks Alfred Johnson
John M. Manion Good luck.
JimmyDee Just got the date for the other one today. Will be having that one done on the 13 of April. Hope this one goes as well as the first one. I guess I'm crazy to have them both done so close together but it got to the point I couldn't function and I'm very happy with the success of the first surgery so I figured, get it over with.
Jim
Tmibowl Welcome Back, Welcome Back, Welcome Back
Prayers with you for a full and speedy recovery
David Hyatt Jimmy, when God heals your knees, hope you still sit awhile at your computer. We all could use your help. God Bless.
JimmyDee Well, 5 1/2 weeks have gone by and I'm doing great. No pain pills, walking 3/4 of a mile without a crutch or cane, and best of all, no pain in my new Titanium knee.
However all this new found freedom from pain is to be short lived because Wed, the 13 of April, the other one is going to be done. Figured the first one turned out so good, I'd just go ahead and have the other one done and be done with it even though it is nowhere near as bad as the first one. It is bone on bone and causes a lot of pain when I'm on it a lot. Modern methods of surgery are great. Rehab is hard but necessary.
Prayers would be nice.
Jim
numbers good luck and best wishes

Afterhrs Jimmy,
I know I don't have much "time on the pond" in this forum, but
it is easy to see that you are an invaluable asset to us all. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with this group of people, the profession will greatly benefit from your unselfishness. We hope to see you back here in a couple of days.

The prayers are a forgone conclusion.

Best regards,
Jerry
