I am working on a fire job, and some of the conduit is still intact. I remove melted wiring from the pipe, I see no reason why I can't utilized the existing pipe. Do you see a down fall with this??????? The pipe has been painted when they repainted the steel beams so it looks fine. All the melted insulation came out with the wire. I was even going to use my compressor to make sure inside of the pipe is clean. Is there any problems you can for-see with what I am doing????

| I would do it.

| I would use it as long as the heat did not cause drippings of the coating inside the pipe that could scratch or tear the insulation on your conductors. Might run a mouse through it first to see if it hands up or tears the mouse.

| I would use the existing pipe if you know it is clean and nothing inside that can cause physical harm to the new wire. I have done this a few times myself, and always use a small wire brush and run it through to check what I can and look real good for any bad spots. If it looks good outside and the inside is ok save some time and money for you and someone else.
