Subject - Insulation Fault
okynot Can someone explain what is meant by an insulation fault? If a remote fault monitoring system for DC power distribution indicates an insulation fault whenever a device connected to the power distribution unit is switched on, what are the likely implications?
lctrc789 Perhaps a nick or teare in the insulation and it is reading it as a fault in the system.

Have check the cables, not very likely due to nick or tear. Apparently the insulation fault appears whenever the negative line to the device is connected, any other possibilities?
stedder Faulty "device"?
