Memory Cards - Main Page

Memory cards are a great way to memorize small pieces of information. They build a real association in your mind. These card sets are made specifically for electricians or electrical inspectors who need the code in their head instead of on their bookshelf. Use these card sets as a tool to help you study for your electrical exams or just improve your electrical knowledge.

Make New Card Sets

You can make additional card sets by emailing you questions and answers in groups of eight here. This is an excellent way to participate in the publishing partners program and help your fellow electricians. New card sets should have their own theme like Canadian Electrical Code - Grounding and Bonding or 2002 - Definitions and be based on something worthy of committing to memory. I can fit a whole lot of info on a card, but try to keep it brief. The shorter the information the easier it is to memorize. I wish someone would have told that to my history teacher.

How to use Cards

Go through your cards and divide them into two piles the ones you missed and the ones you got right. Go through the ones you missed several times or until you get them all right. Put all the cards together again and repeat the process. If you are having a hard time remember it will be hard at first. If it's still to difficult reduce the number of cards you are working with. If you are finding them to easy increase the number of cards you are using. Before long you will have all the information on the cards memorized.
