Subject - Bathroom GFI Circuit
ChicoMarin When you install a GFI breaker as a dedicated circuit for a bathroom can you hook up the lights and fan to that circuit as long as you don't exceed 80 percent of the breaker size.
David Hyatt Yes 210.11(c)3 ex 1 in accordance with 210.23(a)2 50% of breaker rating to the best of my knowledge
ChicoMarin Thanks David
Electricman Also the dedicated circuit must be for that bathroom alone,no other bathrooms allowed on that circuit.
craig The whole circuit must also be rated for 20 amps
JimmyDee I'll let the NEC speak for itself here.
