Subject - Bathroom GFI Circuit

When you install a GFI breaker as a dedicated circuit for a bathroom can you hook up the lights and fan to that circuit as long as you don't exceed 80 percent of the breaker size.

| Yes 210.11(c)3 ex 1 in accordance with 210.23(a)2 50% of breaker rating to the best of my knowledge

| Also the dedicated circuit must be for that bathroom alone,no other bathrooms allowed on that circuit.

| The whole circuit must also be rated for 20 amps

| I'll let the NEC speak for itself here. Article 210.23 (A) exception; The small branch circuit, laundry branch circuits, and bathroom branch circuits required in a dwelling unit(s) by 210.11(C)(1), (2) and (3) shall supply only the receptacle outlets specified in that section. Article 210.11(3) exception; Where the 20-ampere circuit supplies a single bathroom, outlets for other equipment within the same bathroom shall be permitted to be supplied in accordance with 210.23(A) Jim
