| The worst are the ones who attempt to convince you that you are responsible for fixing another unrelated problem. "The garbage disposal hasn't worked since you installed that fluorescent light in the garage"... You check it out, it's obvious the switch has been broken a long time.
Once a customer lost power at night (a POCO outage), when the lights came back on, she called to have me come out and check everything, I assured her that everything should be fine... She calls back 20 minutes later and in a false hysteria exclaims "Bolts of lightning are flashing from recepticle to recepticle! Come quick!" Like I'm gonna believe that.
Another wierd one was a woman who just had a 3 ton AC installed, She met me at the door in a see through nighty, was acting a little odd, a little provocative, anyway I gave her an estimate and scheduled the work for a week later. The next day I thought maybe I'd rather not do that job so I call her and say "my crew is too busy, we can't do that job".. She then calls me 3 or 4 times a year FOR THE NEXT 10 YEARS and asks if I have time to do her job!
Amazing!

I can tell you a really bad end to a story just like this one. A husband, a lawyer, a $25k settlement (and this was in the 1970s) and no contractor will hire in this area later, and luckily the electricians wife didn't leave him. Run, don't walk away from these situations. When it is over, you will have to ask, is this hell I'm going through worth the 10 seconds of pleasure I received. The price is just too high for you and your family. Jim
