| I guess I am old fashioned and wear a pair of kevlar gloves and a Utility knife with a new sharp blade, one at a time and very carefully.

| I use a knife for the first 2-3 inches, and start to pull the ground wire out. I'll grab that ground wire, and use it as a pulling cord to rip open the sheath. The other conductors will more easily come out, once the sheath has been ripped open using the ground wire. Sometimes you have to slit into the sheath with your knife to get it started, but once started, the insulated conductors usually come clean with not too much effort <shrug>.

| for 2 wire I use a utility knife, stick it through the middle of the cable then twist it so that it rides against the bare ground wire as I split the sheath, bend the ground wire out of the way and for 12 guage wire I use my #8 stripper and cut the sheath around each of the wires and it will pull right off of the wires without damage.

| I purchased the tool made by ideal for stripping 2 wire and after using it I wish I would have had it 25 years ago. It works great.

| i don't know guys ,i find the best and fastest way to strip 2-wire uf is to grab the uf in my left hand , put a razor knife on the side of the uf and draw the blade to me ,much the same as rx,only instead of inserting the tip of the blade into the center you strip down alongside each conductor.not sure i used 3-wire but if it is also flat you would still do the same and pull the grnd as to rip it out of the cable
