Subject - more than six ft ?

I have a coworker who insists that the longest an extension cord can be in an industrial environment is six feet. I told him I could not find that in code anywhere he insisted it was, but now he says it is in OSHA. Have any of you heard of this any where? Am I missing something?

| I don't have my code book with me, but I highly doubt that this is an actual code. Really, what would you do if you had a piece of equipment that plugged into the ceiling?
Be wary of people who don't know where codes are.
