	Subject - Ignore the NEC will they? veganfan You guys remember how I always complain about my work place blatantly violating the NEC, and not caring when pointed out to them. Well I had just made comment to my boss that I don’t know why I even bother to go to this NEC seminar because I will never get to use it. After all they never listen, and he “said your correct not many supervisors are as tolerant as I am”. “We do not like our employees pointing out to us what we have done wrong”. I left very frustrated. Then I went back into work the next night after we had some kind of corporate safety audit. To find out we where failing badly in fall protection and electrical this was right out of NEC. Like no blanks in empty circuit breaker slots, and holes in boxes not plugged, and not having 36 in clearance in front of electrical panels. One we had just finished installing only had 28 in between it and an unmovable press in front of it, and water pipes under it the entire length, and width of panel all the way to press. Plus a lot more. So I went back into my boss’s office and asked that NEC training just might be needed now hu. He responded upsetly yes. I just though this made a great story. Now we still have one day of auditing to go, and then thirty days before they come back. P.S. they where talking about laying some of us off. might be a little longer now.
