110.26(C) has been revised so that the 2 exit doors are required (unless exceptions are met) once you have a 1200 amp gear. No longer does the gear have to be 6 feet wide or larger.
I thinks its a great change, and a big step for electrical safety. A freind of mine named Don Ganiere helped push this through at the comment stage. The proposal was originaly shot down, but the panel recondisdered when Don told them his opinion. His opinion was that the code making panel members were comfortable standing in front of a 5'10" 1200 amp gear under fault, but were scared and would flee if the panel was 6' under the same condition!!!
