Subject - How we got here:
Ryan_J There were 3,577 proposals for the 2005 NEC.
On those proposals, there were 4,031 public comments.
Once the comments were made and the panel members voted and the smoke cleared, we ended up with about 500 changes, give or take a few.
The final voting for the 2005 occured at the NFPA world exposition meeting right here in Salt Lake in late May of 2004. I had the privelege of meeting several of the code making panel members, had a few beers with some of them and had breakfast with a gentleman named Mike Holt. All in all it was a pretty fun week for me. :)
Scott Vickrey And to think Ryan is only 26. Makes you wonder where this wipper snapper will be in 20 years.
Ryan_J Thanks Scott...thats very kind of you to say :)
iwire Yes I think we will hear of Ryan for a long time in regards to the NEC.
