| Yes,I am required CPR and first aid. Cpr classes every 2 years and first aid every 3. Many large companies and unions require this it isn't unusual and really it is very nice to know both of them.

| As a voc ed instructor at the high school level, I required it. Most of the contractors in West Michigan require the card and I know the IBEW requires it for their apprenticeship. It is a good thing. Jim

| In the past while working for large corperations this was required. As far as I have seen in Texas your average contractor does not reqire or promote it.

| I too am required to have CPR training. As my employer requires all electrical workers on the site to be trained. They pick up the tab. This includes the contract workers. If your empolyer has a requirement for you to have CPR retraining every year maybe you can ask for some reimbursment of the cost??
