Subject - color coding
Froggy we need to know what is the reference for color coding for wiring in DC voltage
Scott Vickrey Other than the ground wire the national electrical code doesn't specify colors for DC circuits.
Red is commonly used for positive and black for negative and green for ground.
Mitch I worked at a plant that used black for negative and white for positive. I have also worked at another plant where it was the opposite. All the control cables where shielded black and white twisted pair. This should be standardized somewhere.
