	Subject - Well House David Hyatt I am wanting to install at a residence a new 60 amp meter, back to back with a four circuit indoor panel. Then feed pump, light and receptacle from there. 1st question: can I install 60amp service. 230-79D 2nd question: do I have to have a main or can I use main lug panel with only two breakers? 225.33A ? David Hyatt I just asked the inspector and he said I would have to have a main if there was an 100volt circuit. That the six moves of the hand rule then doesnt apply. Why? Help? justinelect David you might want to ask the inspector for a source on his answer. Nothing in 230.71 2002 NEC says anything about about a limitation due to voltage. More than likely if you really can't do what you described it is due to a local code. Let us know what you find out. Justin
