Subject - Voltage too high?
popsk I am a handy man and do work for a group of people who live in town homes served by the same transformer. They all have problems with light bulbs and switches burning out frequently. Also floresent light fixtures burn out. The voltage at the wall outlets read 123 volts. Is that too high or is there maybe a problem with voltage spikes?

That voltage is just about right. Sounds like the power co may have a loose neutral connection. Recording volt meters will tell the true story. My Fluke VOM has a setting that will lock in a max voltage. I think you are correct in the high voltage but the 123 is OK. Check it at night or early morning when the load is down and see what it is then.
