When the kitchen mixer is running the T.V. picture goes to H E double hockysticks. New home. Did my electricians maybe make an error ? Can it be fixed ? Cost ? That pannel is full now. Thanks.

| No, the mixer is causing the problem. The arc produced by the brushes will cause the interference. It may be hitting the antenna or feeding through the electrical lines. I would inquire to someone knowledgeable about filtering and you can probably purchase a plugging filter at a Radio Shack or similar place. I don't think there is anything the electricians did that caused this. Jim

| My old house did this as well. Did you try plugging in the mixer in another outlet. Can't remember if I fix it or just lived with the problem. I may have added some dedicated circuits in the kitchen, just can't remember.

| the wife and I where just talking about this same issue..she was mixing and i was watching TV(she also),,,kitchen/counter,bar/living/den, all one open area....no mixer noise on the tv as when we where kids! am on dish net. and i also noticed the same when we were just cable...not sure about reg uhf/vhf ant!! could be an old mixer is worst than a newer one also...as stated earlier, maybe a filter of sorts could help.
