JimmyDee Article 210.11
(3) Bathroom Branch Circuits. In addition to the number of branch circuits required by other parts of this section, at least one 20-ampere branch circuit shall be provided to supply the bathroom receptacle outlet(s). Such circuits shall have no other outlets.
Exception: Where the 20-ampere circuit supplies a single bathroom, outlets for other equipment within the same bathroom shall be permitted to be supplied in accordance with 210.23(A).
Doesn't this imply that a 20 amp circuit can feed more than one bathroom?
Jim
frenchelectrician Jim,

now that did ring the bell to me , sorry about that one it was changed in 99 code cycle . yes you can have 20 amp bathroom repecticale circuits to other bathroom for the repectaile only . not tied in for lights etc .

but jim the local codes can override the national and state codes so so jim i will suggest to check your inspector for that area and i really can't say it is ok in your area or not.

i allready deal one local code that require 2 bathroom repectailes if the bathroom is over 4X8 feet or 32 sq feet size one of the two.

merci, marc
David Hyatt Maybe you miss understood my question. Now each bathroom has to have a dedicted circuit. Then they could be together. When was it changed. Jim, I don't think this implies that at all. It states that the other outlets in the same bathroom can be on one circuit.
JimmyDee Dave, it says that if it only feeds one bathroom, then and only then can you pick up the fans, lights, etc. I think it clearly implies that you can feed more than one bathroom but if you do, you can't feed the lights or fan with it.
Yes, Frenchelectrician, I have seen where local codes are different for this type of thing.
Jim
David Hyatt I reread it Jim and it does seem that way. I wouldn't want it that way in my house.
JimmyDee This is the kind of work one gets for the $1.40 a sq foot jobs. Minimum NEC.
Jim
David Hyatt You know thats right.
Electricman I remember reading somewhere the lightsfans can only draw 50% of the load also 10 amps on the 20 amp supply.
Electricman Let me correct myself,Art.210.23 A(2)Utilization Equiptment Fastened in Place. The total rating of utilization equiptment fastened in place, other than luminaries(lighting fixtures),shall not exceed 50 percent of the branch circuit ampere rating where lighting units, cord -and-plug-connected utilization equiptment not fastened in place,or both, are also supplied.
