| Subject - GFI's in mulity unit properties | |

State of California and local city codes pertaining to installing GFI's near water source in Kitchens and Bathrooms! Properties have not been remodeled or redone and date back to late 70's for construction. 1 property is located in Campbell California and the other in Sunnyvale California. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated on this code and installation of GFI's. Both properties are in the process of being sold and have 65+ units a piece. | John A. Peters | I usually tell the client that GFIs for tenants or kids is a no brainier. They really do make sense something like seat belts and smoke detectors. Most people feel they are worth it. On the other hand, I have heard of deaths in a bathroom (appliance fell in the tub with a person) but I have not heard of any deaths in the kitchen. (How could it happin?) |

She also reached over and put her other hand on the toaster that must have had a problem, and got a shock that could have killer her. | cs409 | best equipment to ever come into use, gfi's.....not saying they prevent many many deaths a yr( they probably do) but i can say that they prevent some major shocking experiences..... |
