Subject - Glowing Contacts at Receptacle Termination!
Joe Tedesco When the receptacle (or wall switch) is not CO/ALR rated, and aluminum branch circuit conductors are used, this is what could happen!

JimmyDee Although not this bad, we rewired a complete appartment complex (early 1970s) because of this very thing. I think Alcoa paid the bill for the rewire. We had an, every week, service call to repair switches and plugs until there was no more free tail to work with.
