Subject - wiring code question
jkusiak Does this type of work need to be done by an electrican? I work in Southboro, MA and my boss wants me to replace the 220vac power connectors, (russelstoll pin type connectors), with hubble blade type connectors. I told him that I'm not going to do it and to get an electrican or buy a pigtail convertor. After the unit has been tested he wants the original connectors reinstalled. For some reason this does not sound like a good idea, am I right?
Scott Vickrey To answer your first question. Absolutely! If your boss expects you to do electrical work and your not qualified I wonder what he will want next? I'm curious as to why in the world he would want this swap. I'm thinking that because he wants them swapped back some form of subterfuge is being employed here. Doesn't sound like your boss has good character. As long as you stay where you are you'll suffer.
Anyway, I don't see enough information in your post to make a specific code question. Is your question other than qualification and deceptive work practices?
