can a new 120 plug-in be jump wired off of an exsisting plug-in on the other side of the wall?

| Yes, for someone that knows what they are doing. It is usually a simple job to cut an opening in the opposite wall and run a piece of romex to the existing receptical box and splice it in. Jim

| creed i dont see a problem with this as long as this is just a convience receptical you know like for t.v,lamps that kind of stuff. You will not want to try to put any thing on this plug-in that should have a dedicated line such as a/c window unit, ceramic heaters still all 120volt,but pulling a high amp load.GOOD LUCK.

| Yes, what Bryan said. Also do not cut the new box in directly behind the other one. Won't be enough room. Jim

| You'll be doing yourself a favor if you can get the same space between the studs. Just not directly back to back like Jim said.
