Subject - New boiler
stedder A new boiler is being installed in a fire house I service, the system used to be forced hot air, the new system is to include 2 ceiling mounted suspension units, 110 volt fan forced units for the truck bays (this is a small sub station). My question is, do I need to keep the fan units and aquastats on the same circuits as the existing burner ckt? Or will it be ok to place on seperate ckts as long as I mount a disconnecting means at each location?
kbsparky I don't see any problem with using different circuits for those unit heater fans. As long as there will not be any live control connections present at the boiler, unless there is a disclaimer label stating that "more than one disconnecting means may be required to de-energize all wiring" along with appropriate directions where to find all the other disconnects.

IF you mount those remote aquastats or relays away from the boiler, such that there are not any live wires present, then such warning labels may not be needed.
